Data we collect

AI providers
Your prompts and generation inputs may be sent to third-party AI model providers (including services accessed through OpenRouter) to produce episode panels, images, and text. Generated outputs are stored to provide episode history and export access.
Payment providers
Payments are processed by external payment providers. BuildToon stores payment status, order IDs, and credit balances. We do not store full credit card numbers or banking details.
Public gallery
If you publish an episode to the public gallery, its title, summary, cover image, and share page become publicly visible. You can unpublish or remove episodes at any time.
Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Public gallery content stays visible until removed or hidden. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Two kinds of email come from us. Messages about something you asked for — an order you placed, an episode you generated, a sign-in request — are part of the service and are always sent. Occasional messages about new things the service can do are separate: every one carries an unsubscribe link, and opting out stops them for good without affecting your account or the first kind.

BuildToon is the data controller for personal information collected through the service. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, please note that your data may be processed in countries where our servers and service providers are located.
